Massachusetts Institute of Technology

For the past four years I’ve been working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology primarily on a project called the Virtual Manufacturing Lab. The VM-Lab is a library of training material for the advanced manufacturing fields of integrated photonics and fiber optics. This content includes educational games, interactive simulations, and other novel visualizations.
My role as the lead software developer for my team has involved designing the architecture, managing interns and later a full-time junior developer, and often required stepping up to handle design tasks and other duties outside my normal work.
